Whether you or someone you know is dealing with mental health barriers know that there is help both locally and regionally. No matter what barriers those are people and groups are here for you.

In addition to family doctors, local hospitals and loved ones, here are some places that offer the help, support and information you need.

The Enrichment Centre for Mental Health

Our Mission – To promote mental-health wellness and community integration, we provide services offering hope and support to the people in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties through advocacy, education, and transitional housing.

There is support here locally. Contact them about their employment, counseling, housing, and educational resources. They offer support groups as well.

Contact VIQ to learn more about volunteering locally, local services, workshops and the 211 Hotline. 211 is a provincial service for information and referral help to community, government, social and health services.

The Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT)

A client-centred, recovery-oriented mental health service delivered by mental health professionals, designed to provide comprehensive, community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation and support to persons with serious and persistent mental illness that are complex and cause significant functional impairments. ACTT promotes an individual’s right to self-determination, empowerment and choice. The program assists clients to achieve personal goals, improve health and quality of life, and live as independently as possible in the community.

Serving children, youth and families in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties

Children’s Mental Health Services is funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. All services are free to you and your family.

CAMH provides a wide range of clinical care services for patients of all ages and families, with Access CAMH as your centralized point of contact.

There you can learn all about wellness, programs, services, crisis resources, science and research, and education.
